Longkou, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Yantai, has an overall area of 893 square kilometers and a population of 634,000. It includes 13 towns and 611 villages, as well as a provincial economic development zone and a provincial high-tech industrial park. It is well known for the bean vermicelli and pears.
