Fushan district

The Fushan district, set up in 1983, has an area of 483 square kilometers and a population of 257,600. It is famed for cherries, Shandong cuisine and Chinese cuisine. It is also a hot spot for overseas Chinese.

Fushan is a modern industrial area in Yantai, focusing on the development of such industries as machinery manufacturing, electronic information and special steel products.

In 2010, its total output value came to 16.53 billion yuan ($2.69 billion), generating the fiscal revenue of 1.15 billion yuan, up 16.5 percent and 27.1 percent, respectively.
