Beijing is the cultural center of the country with its cultural development taking the lead. The capital needs to fulfill its duties in the new period and promote its position as a national cultural political, international exchanges, and technological innovation center.

The abundant cultural resources of Beijing should be revived and made available in people's lives. The capital will protect the ancient city as a whole with focus on the Great Wall in its northern area, the canal culture in the eastern area, and historic culture in the western region.
