2. Beijing will develop into a national technological innovation center

Beijing's Zhongguancun, China's Silicon Valley, can take the lead in technological innovation, said Guo. It can come up with related policies to support enterprises' major role in innovation and carry out reforms to encourage talented people. More efficient systems will be established to facilitate integrated innovation between central and local regions and among universities and enterprises. The capital will work hard on key technologies concerned with the city's sustainable development and people's livelihoods. It will also speed up building the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated innovation community and grow into a national technological innovation center with international influence.
