A US company has successfully tested a prototype at a height of 106 metres. It consisted of a circular inflatable frame able to lift up a wind turbine fixed inside Altaeros Energies says it could reduce energy costs by up to 65 percent by harnessing the stronger winds found over 305 metres high and reducing installation time from weeks to days. A new device that projects virtual full-size keyboard onto any flat surface for use with smart phones and computer tablets, has been revealed. The Magic Cube by Korean company Celluon is compatible with any devices that have Bluetooth. As an added bonus, it also doubles as a multi-touch computer mouse. The Magic Cube projection laser displays a keyboard layout onto any opaque, flat surface. Keystrokes are recognized and relayed via an invisible infrared layer combined with an optical sensor. It connects easily to any USB and Bluetooth HID capable devices, including the latest iPhone, iPad, and all Android devices. You can also plug-n-play with any Windows operating system. [Photo/CFP]
