The organizing committee of the 12th National Games in Liaoning province will begin the selection process for its emblem, mascot and slogan from suggestions submitted from throughout the country in August.

June 3 witnessed the birth of the 12th National Games organizing committee in Liaoning. At the working conference on July 21, the committee carried out its plan to select the emblem, mascot and slogan, and the working staff will do their utmost to run a successful National Games.

In October, the performance plan for the opening and closing ceremonies will be selected from suggestions submitted from throughout China. It is believed the two collection events will display the features of the Liaoning National Games.

The 12th National Games will open in 2013. It will play an active role in economic development, improving the city's image and transforming Liaoning into a more modernized city.
