The Province Games are held every four years. It is a large-scale comprehensive sports competition. The 11th Liaoning Para Games will be held from August 8 to 18. It is divided into four groups: youth, adult, old and disabled, and includes 63 items and 805 events, of which Shenyang hosts 47 major items and 724 events of the game. Then there will be 20,000 athletes from 14 cities in Liaoning taking part in the games. The Para Games were initiated at the 9th Liaoning Games. This year marks the third time they’ve been held, with the largest scale and the largest number of participants so far.

Holding the Liaoning Games is not only a good chance to promote the development of sports, and to display the city’s image, but also to enhance the degree of civilization and promote the economy. The most significant aspect is that it is a trial practice for Shenyang to hold the 12th National Games in 2013.
