Shenyang International Raspberry Festival launched a grand opening ceremony on July 16.

Exports and other industrial constituents from 11 countries and regions around the world attended the opening ceremony.

The festival, lasting three days, consisted of several events, including an international raspberry industry summit, raspberry industrial base visit, key project introduction and trade negotiation, and ecological raspberry tourism.

The Shenyang International Raspberry Festival plays an important role in promoting the raspberry industry and improving Shenyang’s publicity as a world raspberry city.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, raspberry is the third generation of "golden fruits", following apple and kiwi. It is also a cure for potential cancer. In addition, it's also bestowed with such functions as anti-aging, nourishing and beautifying. Known as a kind of natural "aspirin", it can work as an analgesic and anti-fever agent.
