Xiling Seal Engravers’ Society

Xiling Seal Engravers’ Society is a well-known academic society which specializes in studying inscriptions on ancient bronzes and stone tablets. In 1904, it was founded by the epigraphists like Ding Ren, Wang Yi, Ye Ming and Wu Yin. Currently, there is an extended collection of valuable inscriptions and stone carvings in the Society.

A century-old and respected business establishment, Zhang Tongtai’s medicine store was relocated at the close of the Qing Dynasty to the He Fang Street from its original site near the Drum Tower. Having undergone a lot of repair and renovation, the store is still in business and mainly patronized by seniors.
