The second session of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the second session of the 13th Jilin Provincial People's Congress opened in Changchun, the provincial capital, on Jan 25 and 26, respectively, with Jilin provincial CPPCC members and deputies from all over the province in attendance.

The provincial Party chief declared the opening of the second session of the 13th Jilin Provincial People's Congress and the provincial governor delivered the 2018 work report on the government's achievements of the past year and its new focus on prioritizing steady growth and innovation in the coming year.
