The second session of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, on Jan 29.

A total of 476 CPPCC members were present at the closing session.

Jiang Zelin, chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Committee, presided over the event with attendees including Bayanqolu, Party chief of Jilin province, and Jing Junhai, governor of Jilin present for the event’s conclusion.

Two deputy chairmen of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, as well as four members of the standing committee were selected during the conference.

Jiang reminded attendees that 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and promised that the province would put maximum effort into modernizing its economy and improving living standards.
