Foreigner jumps from airport terminal

A foreigner died after jumping off a terminal building at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Monday morning, police said.

The man had hailed a taxi from a downtown hotel to Terminal 2 of the airport. When the taxi was on the approach bridge of the departure floor of Terminal 2, the foreigner suddenly left the cab, climbed over the handrail and fell to the ground, airport police said on their official micro blog on Monday afternoon.

The man died after being rushed to a hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
