GUIYANG - Three people were injured and an oil pipe was broken Tuesday night after an accident at a highway construction site in Southwest China's Guizhou province, rescuers said on Wednesday.
Around 10 pm Tuesday, a construction tower collapsed at a section of the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway construction site in Pingba county in Anshun city, injuring three people and damaging an oil pipe nearby, said rescuers.
The three injured people have been sent to a local hospital, and rescuers were repairing the broken pipe.
The accident also caused the suspension of railway service from Anshun to the provincial capital of Guiyang.
