☆ Promoting consumption brands
A group of high-end brands, including Tesla, British perfume producer JoMalone, Italy's top children's wear brand Simonetta, and world-class leather brand a.testoni, opened stores in Chaoyang district in 2014.
These brands were attracted by the district's efforts to stimulate consumption in recent years. In addition, Chaoyang has planned specialized commercial streets and centers, such as Xiushui Clothes Street, Gaobeidian Art Street and Huamao Center.

The district improved service facilities and guided enterprises to adjust their industrial layout in those specialized commercial streets. It is home to 11 such streets, some of them approved by the municipal government as characteristic commercial streets.
☆ Boosting e-commerce business
Chaoyang district drafted a plan to boost the development of e-commerce in 2014, which became a guideline to help e-commerce companies settle in the district and promote branding at fairs and expos.
A total of eight companies, including the online sale platform of Dixintong, a Chinese cell phone store and an e-commerce platform selling liquor and wine called Wajiu.com, settled in Chaoyang in 2014.
At last year's China E-Commerce Expo, two companies from Chaoyang won prizes for their innovation and contributions to e-commerce training.
☆ Strengthening its function of international trade hub
The district’s actually utilized foreign capital for 2014 was $3.9 billion, a year-on-year growth of 14 percent, accounting for 43.1 percent of the city's total.

Its export-import volume reached $186.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent. It accounted for 45 percent of the city's total and ranked top among all the districts and counties in Beijing.
☆ Providing better service for foreign investors
Chaoyang district strengthened coordination with commercial authorities at all levels, ranging from the Ministry of Commerce to the district's industry and commerce departments, to share information on policy and service.
The district also simplified the administrative approval procedures and used an online application system to improve efficiency.
In order to popularize local support on foreign investment, it initiated an initial completion brochure, listing a group of 18 policies that foreign-funded enterprises can enjoy in investing in Chaoyang district.
