Shanghaiese grows colorful 'China map' in paddy field
If you are asked to make a map of China, how will you make it? A 71-year-old man from Shanghai grew it.
Chen Jinxiang, a retired technician at a local agricultural technology extension center, grew a colorful "China map" in his own paddy field in Zhonghong village, Fengjing town of Shanghai, cnr. cn reported Wednesday.
Chen has been studying rice cultivation for more than 30 years. He cultivated more than 30 colored and shaped rice ears with over 800 experimental samples.
