The First China-Russia International Tourism (Beidaihe) Fair was held successfully from April 25 to 26 in Beidaihe, a coastal city of Hebei province. The fair, hosted by the Hebei Provincial Tourism Administration and Qinhuandao People’s Government, set up a platform of communication for the administrative departments of tourism in both China and Russia. Traveler’s agencies, tourism hotels, and the related trade companies exhibited in booths, with on-the-spot transactions, and through tourism forums. |

Ice-snow tourist project for Guyuan 2012-04-28 |
The Party publicity department of the county of Guyuan, near the city of Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, announced on April 20 that its Bingshanliang Tourism Project — the county’s first ice-snow tourist project — had signed a contract for a 60-square-kilometer ski resort that can accommodate 18,000 skiers. The total cost is 520 million yuan ($82.5million). It is expected to be China’s best ski area. |

Approximately 3,000 Buddha statues were unearthed during an archaeological excavation in Handan, located southwest in Hebei province of China. The Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Science (IA CASS) and Cultural Relics Institute of Hebei province recently announced this news together. |

Century-old pear trees in Wei county, Hebei province have begun to blossom with the onset of spring. The Wei County, which has China's largest area of century-old pear trees, opened the Twelfth Pear Cultural Tourism Festival on April 8. A total of 133.33 million square meters pear blossoms are open to the tourists from all over. |
