The China National Orchestra is a large orchestra of traditional Chinese musical instruments (with accompanying choir) based in Beijing, China. It was established in 1960. The orchestra was founded by Li Huanzhi (1919-2000), the former chair of the Chinese Musicians' Association. Its current president is Xi Qiang. The orchestra has performed throughout China and visited dozens of nations on five continents. The orchestra performed for many heads of state during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and in 2013, they had a tour "Cross the Pacific Ocean-Chinese Culture into America" in America. Shows like The Cowherd and Girl-Weaver, What a Great World and Tibet in Spring have become the brand of the orchestra.

French pianist Richard Clayderman's instrumental renditions of popular music, rearrangements of movie soundtracks, ethnic music, and easy-listening arrangements of popular works of classical music have created a new romantic style through a repertoire that combines his trademark originals with classics and pop standards. He has 267 gold and 70 platinum discs to his credit, and is noted by the Guinness Book of World Records as being "the most successful pianist in the world".
