Doctor seeks daughter
A few days ago, a "Daughter Wanted" notice at the Zhengzhou recruitment center in Henan province caught many people's eyes. The notice read:
I am a doctor, female, age 68. I own several properties around the city as well as a medical clinic. However, my husband and I have no children. As we grow older, we would like to find a kind-hearted girl who's obedient and caring to the elderly to be our dependent. If we get along well and are satisfied with each other, she will inherit our family properties. The girl we're looking for has to be under 40 years old. Please call if interested.
The story triggered hot online discussions since it was reported by Henan Commercial Daily. Some were concerned for the seniors, while others questioned the credibility of the notice.
Liu's husband was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disease a few years ago, leaving him paralyzed. Liu was concerned about not being able to fully take care of her husband since she's getting older, and wanted someone to take care of them just as a daughter would.
According to Henan Commercial Daily, Liu said she received more than 100 applicants over the past two years, but none of them meet as she has afraid of being cheated.
Nonetheless, Liu said that she won't leave anything - even to their own child - if she was lazy or unreliable.
In our next story we show how a man was swept away by memories.
