Assistant to the governor in industrial and economic operations, reforming of State-owned enterprises, worker safety, the defense science and technology industry, and information management.

Personal resume:

Born: October 1957, Daixian county, Shanxi province.

Ren finished his postgraduate study while working, with a PhD in engineering and is a senior engineer with and outstanding record.

He joined the CPC in October 1986 and began work in November 1979.

At first, he worker at the Xishan Mining Bureau’s Duerping Mine, then as secretary of the Xishan Mining Bureau, assistant chief engineer and deputy GM of the Malan Mine, GM of the Xiqu Mine, and a member of its CPC committee, and GM of the Guandi Mine and a member of its CPC committee;

In 1998, he became vice-president of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Coal Mining Administrative College and a member of its CPC committee.

In June 2000, he became vice-chairman of the Shanxi Lu’an Mining (Group) Co, and deputy secretary of its CPC committee and GM.

In January 2001, he became chairman of the Shanxi Lu’an Mining (Group) Co, and deputy secretary of its CPC committee and GM.

In October 2008, he became chairman and deputy secretary of the CPC committee of the Shanxi Lu’an Mining (Group) Co.

He was a representative at the 17th National Congress of the CPC and a representative at the 10th and 11th People’s Congress of Shanxi.
