Huaping county, Lijiang, Southwest China's Yunnan province, will accelerate the development of its health tourism industry, striving to become a destination for healthy living.
With temperatures, humidity and altitude highly suitable for healing and recovery, Huaping has been actively exploring how to develop its healthcare tourism market.

Huaping Jiazhiyuan Kangyang Service Co and Huaping Tianyi Elderly Services Co opened in 2018, providing leisure, entertainment, accommodation and catering services for the elderly.
A total of 1,669 senior citizens from Huaping county, Chengdu, Shanghai, and other places have already checked in for the winter.

In addition, the county will also promote a combination of health and wellness, leisure projects, planting and breeding centers, farming culture, and folk customs, supporting the construction of a number of cultural leisure farms and pastoral health complexes.
The county will also develop some new concepts, such as "forest leisure", "forest experiences" and "forest health".
Huaping county plans to speed up construction on the Huaping Mango Town and the renovation of the Liyu River Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, adhering to the standards of a 4A-level scenic spot.
