Lijiang develops cultural and creative industries

A forum focusing on the development of Lijiang's cultural and creative industry was held in Lijiang, Yunnan province, on Sept 21.

Topics covered trends, processes and access to the incubation of cultural and creative industries, as well as the promotion and investment for cultural and creative projects, aiming to provide ideas for local companies and startups.

Cui Maohu, chief of Lijiang municipal committee of the CPC, said that Lijiang has stepped up improving its government service system to create a better innovation and entrepreneurship environment in recent years.

"We hope to introduce better creative ideas and projects to Lijiang and attract more investors," Cui said.

In the future, Lijiang will focus on the development of four industries – its tourism cultural industry, clean energy industry, big data industry, and biomedicine and health care industry.

Zuotoujing.com, a tourism website, said it has launched the Snow Mountain Venture Capital Camp to support local entrepreneurs and help them to realize their dreams.
