Lijiang's Huaping county held its first cross-border e-commerce summit on July 20, seeking to further develop its local cross-border e-commerce industry.

Chen Xingyuan, Lijiang's deputy mayor, said, "The Lijiang government has supported Huaping county to develop its plateau-featured agriculture in recent years and the county has won a great reputation for its agricultural products, such as mangos, tea leaves and walnuts."
Huaping county was designated as a pilot county in Yunnan province to introduce e-commerce in 2015, and has seen great development in mango e-commerce sales revenue reaching up to 72 million yuan ($10.6 million).
Li Xianxiang, secretary of the Huaping county Party committee, said that Huaping's high-quality mangos and mushrooms have been sold worldwide, including to Italy, France, the United Arab Emirates and Dubai through online retailers.

Hua Zefei, president of the Yunnan Association of Private Entrepreneurs, said, "Huaping county enjoys a good location, connecting surrounding areas to develop cross-border e-commerce sales. The online platform can greatly improve the sale of local agricultural products and increase farmers' incomes."
Alibaba, the world's biggest e-commerce company, will support the county in the future to construct the Huaping Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park. The park will be an e-commerce ecologic park integrating big data, logistics and talent training.
