An exhibition featuring cultural relics found through the first National Survey of Movable Cultural Relics opened at the Lijiang Museum on June 9.
Lijiang initiated the first National Survey of Movable Cultural Relics in November, 2013, registering some 9,629 relics for the collection.
The exhibition was the first time for the collection to be displayed in Lijiang. Bronze, Thang-ga paintings, ceramics and calligraphy works attracted crowds of local residents and tourists wishing to view the cultural relics.
Calligraphy works from Zhuangyuan, principal graduates in Ming and Qing dynasties(1368-1911), were an exhibition highlight. Zhuangyuan was the title given to scholars who achieved the highest score at the highest level of the Chinese imperial examinations.
The exhibition was designed to provide an opportunity for the public to appreciate precious history and culture.
