SSACEIF to accelerate Yunnan convention industry

A second promotional conference for the 2017 South-Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) was held in Shanghai on March 8.

As scheduled, the 2017 SSACEIF will be held at Kunming’s International Exhibition Center in Yunnan province from June 12 to 18.

Representatives from over 190 enterprises joined the conference, including Wan Xiaolan from China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.

During the conference, Wan expressed Alibaba’s hope of carrying out more cooperation with Yunnan through the 2017 SSACEIF.

Chen Xianjin, an official from the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, listed Yunnan’s unique advantages in the convention industry at the conference.

According to Chen, Yunnan has advanced convention facilities, and as of now, Kunming and Shanghai are the only two Chinese cities have held the Expo, an international exhibition designed to showcase the achievements of nations. Additionally, Yunnan has a unique geographic location which can help attract investment and tourism.
