Lijiang Public Transportation Company is constructing charging posts, Yunnan Daily reported.
The company purchased 127 electric cars, 27 of which went into operation in January. Another 100 new energy cars will be used at scenic spots.
The company will purchase 240 new energy automobiles to substitute for traditional buses.
Electric automobiles have benefits such as zero emissions, low noise, and are environmentally friendly. However, they are not convenient to charge.
The company is working on charging posts to solve the problem. So far, it has built 18 charging posts in Yulong county.
Lijiang also strives to explore new charging models to get rid of over dependence on charging posts.
