Despite the beautiful scenery, the scenic spots are quite scattered and roads are poor. Visitors should be prepared psychologically and be ready for a tough trip.
If you plan to rent a car or drive to the scenic spot yourself, find a car with good performance. A SUV or a mini-bus is recommended.
The average temperature in Lugu Lake is around 17 degrees. The temperature in summer is between 15-25 degrees while the winter is between 3 to 18 degrees. The temperature difference between morning and night is high. You should take thick clothes even if you plan to visit in summer, and you are recommended to bring a coat.
The climate is a bit dry in Lugu Lake, so take skin-care products such as lip balm. Ladies can bring facial masks for re-hydration. Visitors are also recommended to bring a umbrella, a torch, sun-glasses, a hat and sun block.
For environmental reasons, most of the lodges in Lugu Lake no longer provide disposable items. Prepare in advance or you can purchase at local stores nearby.
Bring enough drugs, such as bus-sickness and digestion drugs.
