Lijiang Dongba relics on display in National Museum

The city of Lijiang, in Yunnan province has recently organized a Lijiang Dongba Cultural Exhibition, at the National Museum of China in Beijing. Lijiang is known for its Naxi ethnic group who preserve much of their native Dongba culture with deep spiritual connections to nature. The exhibition opened on May 9 and runs through May 20 and contains more than 250 Dongba relics, such as religious scripts, playing cards and musical instruments.
