During the Spring Festival holiday, Lijiang in Southwest China's Yunnan province received 376,500 visitors from home and abroad, a year-on-year increase of 13.4 percent. Tourism revenue climbed 14.79 percent to more than 380 million yuan ($60.55 million).
Among the major tourist attractions, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area received 120,800 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 6.86 percent. Lugu Lake received 16,500 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 10.51 percent. Laojun Mountain Scenic Area received 3,389 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 50.29 percent. Lashihai Scenic Area received 51,000 visitors, a year-on-year decrease of 20.9 percent. In addition, the average rental rate of Lijiang’s hotels reached 73.07 percent.
During Spring Festival, 423 flights arrived at Lijiang Airport, 20 less than the same period last year, while carrying 54,058 visitors, 1.27 percent lower year-on-year. A total of 61 trains reached Lijiang Station, 17 more than the same period last year, carrying 30,881 visitors, a growth of 2 percent year-on-year. Also, vehicles reaching or leaving Lijiang amounted to over 460,000. No serious tourist complaints were reported, according to the local authorities.
