Lijiang holds fifth Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou Development Conference

The fifth Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou Development Cooperation and Development Conference opened in Lijiang from Nov 25-26.

Representatives from 12 cities and prefectures in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces gave speeches in the conference on the morning of Nov 26.

This year, the development conference is themed around deepening cooperation and jointly constructing the Jinsha River economic circle. In the conference, five agreements have been achieved.

First, a comprehensive transportation network should be constructed. These three provinces will actively promote the construction of railways and highways to develop a more complete transportation network.

Second, trade and commerce communication between these places will be strengthened. Meanwhile, a win-win marketing system will be constructed to promote training, technology and education development in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces.

Third, cooperation in the tourism industry will be strengthened. These three provinces will jointly create a development strategy to improve the comprehensive competitive capability of the tourism industry in this region.

Fourth, complementary cooperation between these cities in different industries will be strengthened. A platform of sharing information will be constructed to promote cooperation between different cities. Meanwhile, a better layout of regional industry development with its own characteristics will be developed.

Fifth, a coordination mechanism will be established and regular conferences at a fixed time will be held for cities to share information. Meanwhile, a platform for communication and information sharing will be constructed to promote cooperation in different industries, including culture, tourism, agriculture and business.
