Mosuo Sisters begins filming in Lugu Lake

Photography for the film Mosuo Sisters started on Sept 17, Xi’an Evening News reported. The opening ceremony and press conference of Mosuo Sisters was held in Beijing. The film is a production of Shaanxi Film Group in corporation with Beijing Huaying Film & TV. Mosuo Sisters is supported by Lijiang’s publicity department, the Lugu Lake scenic spots administrative committee and China's ethnic film production department.

Mosuo Sisters tells a love story between Mosuo sisters and their lovers. The beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake and the local customs of this mysterious kingdom of women will be presented in the film.

The film is expected to come out in April 2015.
