Medical and education charity projects were launched in Lijiang People's Hospital on Sept 3, Yunnan Daily reported.

Yunnan Second People's Hospital, Lijiang's health bureau, and an association promoting the dignity and respect of elderly people, signed a cooperation project agreement to launch the medical and education charity projects.

The projects are based on the talent, technology and management advantages of Yunnan Second People's Hospital. According to the cooperation project agreement, the training of Lijiang's primary level staff members will help improve the general vocational skills of Lijiang's medical staff members.

Chang Zeng, general manager of China Maitland IMP&EXP Trading Corporation, donated medical facilities worth 3.5 million yuan ($570,500) to Lijiang during the project launching ceremony.
