The China Communist Youth League Lijiang Committee held a meeting on Aug 6 to arrange work to support earthquake relief for quake-hit Ludian.

Before the meeting began, a minute-long silence was held to mark where a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck on Aug 3.

The meeting was given the latest information about the Ludian earthquake and delivered China Communist Youth League Yunnan Committee's requirements on earthquake relief work.

Relief work arrangements were made throughout the meeting. Hospitals in Lijiang will make up a work plan for blood donations and medical relief. Traffic groups will put the focus on making volunteers' transportation more convenient; and schools will plan to organize donation activities in the new semester.
