Lijiang organized a series of activities themed around building a civilized city and encouraging good manners on the Internet on Aug 6, Xinhua.net reported.

"There are 120 registered websites and 113 registered Internet bars in Lijiang. A volunteer publicity team has been organized to encourage people to improve their manners on the Internet," said Zhang Jianhua, vice-director of Lijiang's publicity department.

"With the crackdown on cyber pornography, the online environment has become better. It is important to let Internet users reach a consensus of using the Internet with good manners," Zhang added.
