Yunnan will launch a pilot project for a train ticket delivery service in 13 cities, such as Kunming, Dali and Lijiang. The railway administration of Kunming will provide train a ticket delivery service starting July 10.
The service is aimed at customers who purchase train tickets online at least 36 hours before departure. Customers can order the ticket delivery service from the website, and the tentative delivery fee is 17 yuan ($2.74) per order. Every single delivery order cannot exceed five tickets. The delivery courier will check the recipient's identity card to ensure that it's consistent with the ticket buyer.
The earliest delivery time is the next morning of the purchase, and the latest delivery time is one day before the departure (at least 12 hours).
According to the railway administration of Kunming, if the delivery fails or the recipients refuse to sign for the tickets, the system will refund the delivery fee.
During the ticket delivery process, customers can't refund or reschedule the tickets. Only when customers successfully cancel the delivery service or sign for the delivered tickets, will refund or rescheduled services be available.
