An experiential 3D oil painting exhibition is being held in Lijiang, South China’s Yunnan province, from April 12 to June 10.
In the gallery located in the Old Town of Lijiang, visitors are promised a fantastic experience, just as the exhibition’s theme - “Fantastic Voyage” – describes!
Painters from countries and regions such as South Korea and France created these works on site, featuring topics such as beauty and the beast, fantastic adventure and so on.
But they are not just there to be appreciated; the visitors can also interact with these paintings. In front of every work, the organizer has set up marked standing points as well as suggestions on how to position oneself, through which visitors become a part of the exhibits themselves and a part of the virtual 3D.
According to the exhibition’s organizer, the so-called 3D painting has a history of over 20 years. Applied to walls and floors and through the principle of linear perspective, it generates a 3D virtual reality for the visitors.
A total of over 300 paintings are being displayed or will be displayed in the “Fantastic Voyage” exhibition over a period of 60 days. The exhibits will change from day to day. To date, the exhibition has received more than 1,000 visitors.
