A 300-year-old depository of Buddhist scriptures remains intact after a fire in Dukezong, also known as "Moon Town", in Yunnan province, Yunnan Information Times reported.

Many other buildings around the depository of Buddhist scriptures were destroyed in the fire.

Located in the eastern part of the ancient town, the depository of Buddhist scriptures combines Han and Tibeten styles. Built in 1723 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the depository is always a must-see place in Dukezong of Shangri-la town.

In addition to a thousand-hand Guanyi Buddha statue in the middle of the main hall, the depository, which has many ancient paintings, collects Buddhist instruments, Tibetan texts of Buddhism and related Buddhism classics.
