Yunnan tourist resort branch elects president

Luo Jianbin, director of the Kunming Dianchi National Tourism Resort management committee, was elected president of the Yunnan tourist resort branch at a general election in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, on August 2.

The tourist resort branch is one of the 13 branches of the Yunnan Tourism Association, and has a general election every five years.

The branch is a nonprofit social organization composed of tourist resorts and tourism enterprises in Yunnan, and it aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between these enterprises and to contribute to the comprehensive and sustainable development of Yunnan’s tourism industry.

The Yunnan tourist resort branch was established in September 2005, and is composed of one national tourist resort and nine provincial tourist resorts, as well as the tourist resorts of Lijiang Ninglang Lugu Lake, Yuxi Fuxian Lake, Qiubei Puzhehei and Shangri-La.
