The municipal government of Hangzhou has spent two weeks in attracting investment from Europe and America, which were fruitful.
The government and commerce delegations led by Vice-Mayor Tong Guili participated in the Gartner Outsourcing & Vendor Management Summit held in Orlando, America, on Sept 14.
During the summit, the delegation held a "Hangzhou Service Outsourcing Cooperation and Communication Meeting". Thirty-seven overseas insourcing companies such as Microsoft, BT Global, Allianz Life, Sun Trust and domestic outsourcing companies attended the meeting.
Tong Guili visited the headquarters of AEG, one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters of the world, and introduced the current situation and the outlook of Hangzhou. Tim Leiweke, CEO of AEG, talked about their operational ideas and modes. Both sides exchanged ideas on further cooperation. The delegation of commerce also visited FairFax County, Virginia, and famous IT companies such as Insigma, Vertive, Indeed and Homeaway.
Another delegation group went to Britain, the Czech Republic and Poland to attract investment. They visited more than 10 commercial organizations or governments, including the China-Britain Business Council and Polish Chamber of Commerce. They also visited more than 10 companies and introduced a number of investment projects in Hangzhou.
