New draws to Hangzhou's canal in October
Tangxishui North Street

During the National Day holiday of 2010, Hangzhou will present its fifth canal. Three ancient streets, one dockyard, and one warehouse will be newly decorated to attract visitors and consumers.

The three ancient streets are Tangxishui North Street, Gongchen Bridge West Street and Dadou Road. Tangxishui North Street features the Jiangnan traditional style, and there are food shops, handicraft workshops, traditional artistic performances, and special and local products. Meanwhile, traditional Chinese medicine will be sold on Gongchen Bridge West Street. It centers on promoting traditional Chinese medicine culture and developing health industries. Dadou Road sells delicious food and provides recreational services.
