Chinese Interiors and Made in Hangzhou – a photo exhibition by Robert Van Der Hilst was opened on Dec.4th in Show Space Art Salon in Hangzhou. The exhibition displays over 30 representatives works of photos taken by Robert in Hangzhou and pictures from Robert’s Chinese Interior project.

An accomplished Contemporary Dutch photographer, Robert was invited to participate in the Artist Live in Hangzhou program initiated by Yuhua, an well known writer in China and sponsored by Hangzhou municipal government.

Robert arrived in Hangzhou on 2nd March and resided in a villa close to the West Lake. During his 6 months’ stay in Hangzhou, he travelled in allies and Hutongs in Hangzhou and recorded this city in pictures of ordinary people, family life, scenery, and anything he found interesting.
