The transparent egg-shaped viewing platform looks like a visitor from outer space settled down on Xixi Wetland.

After three years of planning and design and more than one year of construction, the scaffolding came down on the main building of the China Wetland Museum near the crossing of Zijingang and Tianmushan Roads in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

The symbolic “UFO”-inspired museum viewing platform was recently unveiled, immediately becoming a huge center of interest. Standing on a hill at the edge of the city’s “Green Lung”, it looks as if a visitor from outer space has settled down on the Xixi Wetland. The high-tech egg-shaped viewing platform is the highest building in the Xixi Wetland Park at approximately 34 meters high, making for the best observation place for viewing the wetland.
