The preview of China Guardian Auctions' 31st quarterly sales is being held until Sept 15 in Beijing.
On display are about 2,000 ink paintings and calligraphic works, 1,800 porcelain wares, arts and crafts, vintage furniture pieces, as well as rare and extant books and documents.
Highlights include ink paintings by modern master artists such as Li Keran and Fu Baoshi, Shang Lin Garden Scroll by Ming Dynasty artist Qiu Ying, ceramic works once owned by Qing Dynasty emperors, a 50-meter woodblock scroll depicting celebratory scenes at the Forbidden City and the Old Summer Palace, created in 1717.
