Year of China in South Africa: creative Industries forum was held

Song Qihui, deputy director of the Cultural Industry Department of the Ministry of Culture expressed the wish that China and South Africa should learn positive experiences from each other on the development of cultural industries, and promote the mutual exchange on traditional handicrafts and innovative design.

Experts and representatives from both countries had an intensive discussion on the policy of cultural industry, cooperation on films and TV production, culture-oriented travel etc.

South Africa is the second largest economy of Africa, and also China's largest trading partner in Africa. In 2014, the Year of South Africa was successfully launched in China, and the Year of China is in South Africa now, enhancing bilateral relations.
