The 5th Beijing International Film Festival released the list of entries in the main competition unit on Tuesday. There are 15 films chosen from 930 candidates to compete for the Tiantan Award, the highest award of BJIFF. Thirteen of the films will make their international debut at the festival.
French director Luc Besson, well known in China for his films Leon (1994) and The Fifth Element (1999), will lead a seven-member judging panel at the festival, which will be held from April 16 to 23.
