BEIJING - Yang Gang, a national political advisor, has been dismissed from his post for "suspected serious law and discipline violations," the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee confirmed on Monday.
He was deprived of the membership of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and removed from his post as deputy director of the Committee for Economic Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee, said a statement from the department.
His case has been handled according to procedures, the statement said.
On December 27, the CPC's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that Yang was probed for "suspected serious law and discipline violations."
