People's Education Press released an apology on its website on Nov 29 for six mistakes in its new edition of a textbook, Zhengzhou Evening News reported on Tuesday.
"We are sorry for the problems in editing and proofreading, and we will reflect and improve our work in the future," the publisher said. "We are grateful for the suggestions given by teachers and students."
On Nov 19, Zhengzhou Evening News reported that a teacher in Zhengzhou, Henan province, found there were more than 30 mistakes in the Chinese textbook for seventh-grade students.
The teacher sued the publisher, the report said.
