Large Medium SmallNine ancient tombs were discovered in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, straddling three dynasties, Xi'an Evening News reported on Tuesday.
The tombs were from the Western Han (206 BC – 24 AD), Tang (618 -907 AD) and Song (960 – 1279 AD) dynasties and two couples were entombed in two of them.
A number of relics including murals, figurines, boxes and pots were excavated.
