Intern teacher beat boy in kindergarten

A kindergarten teacher beat up a 4-year-old boy in Dongyang, Zhejiang province, chinanews.com reported on Nov 6.

The boy's family member posted pictures of the boy's injuries online, which sparked widespread anger.

The boy's father, identified as "Mr Zhang", said the teacher who beat up his son was a 17-year-old intern at the kindergarten, the report said.

Zhang said the boy was beaten up on Nov 5 because he wet his pants.

Zhang said he reported the incident to police, who were investigating the case.

Local authorities said the kindergarten was privately-owned and had not obtained approval to operate.
