Breast-feeding bus seats - complete with curtains - have been installed on some buses in Zhengzhou, Henan province to give breast-feeding mothers some privacy, Dahe Daily reported.

China has more than 130 environmental courts, accounting for more than half in the world, but most have few cases, China Youth Daily reported.

Saved from rape

A construction worker saved his daughter from being raped after being struck by a strong sense of anxiety and returned to his dormitory. The man, in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, claims he returned just as his 13-year-old daughter was about to be raped by a man on Aug 9.

Local lovers

A survey hot on QQ Weibo shows more than 50 percent of youths prefer local people as their partners. Women from Sichuan province are Chinese men's second choice next to local women while men from Beijing and Shanghai are most women's second choice next to local men.

Chen Baocheng

Journalist Chen Baocheng's forced demolition story and detention dominates Chinese media. Chen and six of his fellow villagers in Pingdu, Shandong province, have been detained after allegedly keeping a construction worker captive for 25 hours. Chen and the villagers had been in a long dispute over land expropriation issues with local government stretching back several years.

Copycats

Wuhan International Trade University has added a few copycat buildings from around the world, such as the Pyramids and the Arc de Triomphe. The university said it's a way to be geared to international standards, Changjiang Daily reported.

Jam Hsiao

Taiwan singer Jam Hsiao's trouble with the weather is trending hot on Sina Weibo. When Hsiao had a concert in Shanghai last year, Typhoon Haikui followed. In his recent concert in Zhengzhou, a storm struck the city. With a rain rate of 83.3 percent, Hsiao is being hailed a "rain god". Hsiao is hoped to bring storms to Beijing at his upcoming concert.
