Increasing numbers
Angel Mom, a care home founded in 2007 that helps orphans receive medical treatment and find new families, is also searching for a new base.
It will be the fourth time it has moved, the last being in May last year.
"We have more than 40 children, and all of them have health problems," co-founder Deng Zhixin said.
The home, which is affiliated to the China Charities Aid Foundation for Children, is in a three-story, 20-room property in northern Changping district.
"We need to move almost once a year because our home is too small," Deng said. "The number of children keeps increasing and it gets crowded. Volunteers have no space to play with the children."
She estimated it will take dozens, possibly 100, volunteers to complete the move, while the children need about a month to adapt to new surroundings.
"We want to find a good house, but it seems very difficult," she added.
